Subtle Mind and Loving Kindness

I have found the Subtle Mind and Loving Kindness practices to be most beneficial by increasing my awareness, but before I can even think about implementing them anywhere, I have keep practicing them until I can fully release and become completely open to the experience and explore all its suggested benefits.

Eventually I will be able to begin thinking less selfishly and embrace the feelings of others. I can learn how to let go and feel comfortable not being in control of my life all the time. I can also learn to get in touch with my emotions and not be afraid to feel them and work through them. My focus and concentration skills will improve. I will develop a greater appreciation for things that exist outside of me.

  1. Susan,

I agree with you that the practices of Loving Kindess and the Subtle Mind really help increase a person's awareness. I have found them to be very beneficial and relaxing, though my length of focus needs some improvement. I still get the wandering mind, but I try not to stress about it and just reign it back in. :)

  2. Susan,

I must agree with you practicing loving kindness is really difficult but it opens up areas of your awareness that you didn't realize you were able to do. Being able to have a lot more compassion and love for others. The ability to understand others souls instead of looking at them with in a negative light.

  3. I love both of these practices too.. but I also really liked the visualization practices.. I have always called that guided imagery... it is interesting how each meditation effects your state of mind, awareness, consciousness and feelings.
